Stampede. It was a digital deals site that would bring group buying power to digital products like games, apps and ebooks. I had the pleasure of being the tech lead for the startup. It was a lot of fun working with great people and I learned a lot in the process.

Looking to explore more of the new HTML5 canvas element I’ve started working on a side scrolling space shooter. So far I’ve got the background scrolling and a player ship showing up that can move and shoot.
You can play it here: Space Scroller (best in Chrome)
I plan on adding enemies to shoot at obviously, multiple levels, boss fights, ship upgrades and eventually some mutli-player. I also need to name it, still working on that.
Update #1 (3/14/2012 2:00pm): Added enemies and bullet collisions
Lately I’ve been interested in branching out from back-end development and doing some browser based 2d stuff. Rightly named Vertical Jumper… check it out. (runs best in Chrome)
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is a world wide gathering of student game developers and professionals alike. The participants form groups and have 48 hours to develop a playable game from initial concept to playable. Of course with only 48 hours that means that there is very little sleep involved and basically just pure crunch. Unfortunately not all games make it to playable but luckily the team I came to be on was solid.

I’m making this site to showcase my talents in web development and computer programming, also to serve as an outlet of what I learn on my daily coding adventures.
I look forward to getting to know you, the visitor, and hope that you enjoy what I write on here as well as possibly learning a thing or two. Feel free to comment or Contact Me and I will always send you a reply.
